In 2006Jonathan was named one of the 'Hot 100' lawyers of the year by The Lawyermagazine, recognising his campaigning work for survivors of child abuse, workwhich continues today. He is responsible for risk assessing all the personalinjury and abuse claims handled by the firm.

Inaddition to his work at BBK, Jonathan is committed to the influential lobbyingorganisation the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL). Having held thepost of co-ordinator of APIL's Child Abuse Special Interest Group for 2 years,he has been a member of their national executive since 2008, and became aFellow of the organisation in 2009. He was elected and served as APIL'sPresident in 2015-2016. Jonathan is also the treasurer of the Association ofChild Abuse Lawyers, and he sits on the editorial board of the Journal ofPersonal Injury Law. He trains other lawyers, both in-house and externally, andis regularly asked to provide comment on topical issues for the national media.In 2014/15 he accepted a consultancy role with the BBC, advising on story-linesfor a well known TV soap.
